Home Motoring Services started in Hull in May 1981, as part of the Hometune Car Engine Tuning nationwide franchise.

Graham and Mike served Hull and the surrounding district as franchisees. Operating with two vans they became a very successful father and son combination.

During the early nineties the National Franchise was acquired by MCL PLC. (Mazda Cars Ltd.) MCL eventually sold on the Franchise to Kwik-Fit PLC. The business then became known as Hometune Motoring Services and increased the range of services to include full car servicing carried out at the customer’s home or the Kwik Fit sites in Hull, Beverley and Anlaby. This continued until the year 2000, when Graham had to retire on health grounds.

In the year 2005 Kwik Fit closed down the franchise and Mike continued as a sole trader under the name Home Motoring Services.
